What is podi and how do I use it?
Podi is a Tamil heritage spice blend traditionally eaten with hot rice + ghee, sprinkled on idli/dosa, or stirred into curd rice. Take 1 tsp with hot rice + 1 tsp ghee or gingelly oil — that's the classic pairing.
How long does each podi stay fresh?
Best within 4 months of packaging when stored in an airtight container in a cool dry place. Always use a clean dry spoon. Refrigerate flax-seed podi after opening to preserve omega-3.
Are there preservatives or artificial ingredients?
Absolutely none. We use only rock salt, asafoetida (hing), and traditional slow-roasting for natural preservation. No MSG, no artificial colour, no chemical preservatives.
Where are your podis made?
Hand-stirred in our family kitchen in Sirkali, Tamil Nadu. FSSAI Licensed (22425076000895). Sourced, prepared and packed locally — fully traceable.
What about shipping and delivery?
Free shipping above ₹699. ₹60 flat below. Dispatched in 2-3 business days from Sirkali. Tamil Nadu deliveries in 2-4 days, rest of India 4-7 days.
Is Cash on Delivery (COD) available?
Prepaid only via Shiprocket Checkout — UPI, cards, net banking, wallets. Cash on Delivery is not currently available.
Can I gift this to family abroad?
Currently we ship only within India. For NRI gifts, you can order to a relative's Indian address and they can forward it.
